Adult Programs

Kickboxing
Description: Non contact classes for beginner level. Classes incorporate full body strength conditioning, cardio and kickboxing techniques using pads to punch and kick. Parents and kids class for kids ages 6 and up incorporate exercise and techniques as well as learning about nutrition, respect, courtesy and self discipline in a fun interactive way.
Instructor Avery Keats has had combined 10 years experience in muay thai kickboxing and full contact martial arts. She has been a competitor since 2004 fighting in tournaments across the world.

Adult Badminton
Description: A great way to have fun while keeping fit. Our 2011-12 season starts on October 5, 2011, and ends next May. This program is for persons age 18+. Participants should have some badminton experience, as instruction is not offered. Birds are furnished, but participants will need to bring a racquet and non-marking court shoes.

Adult Volleyball
Description: Are you 16 or older and interested in spending an enjoyable Sunday evening with a group of volley players of all different skill levels who also enjoy playing volleyball? All skill levels welcome.

Yoga Classes
Description: This fall, step onto your mat and learn yoga poses with proper alignment to safely increase your flexibility and strength in a fun, light-hearted way. Tone your body and calm your mind. Bring more balance into your life. WCC is offering an 8 week session.

Youth Drop-In
Description: Come for an amazing program run by recent University of Manitoba Education graduates and their new recruits. The program includes sports, arts, movie nights, with a canteen available each night. For kids in grades 4-9.

Jackrabbits Hockey
Description: Ages 5-11 yrs, boys & girls, non- competitive and fun environment. Safety equipment required.
Where: Windsor Community Centre

Cost: $50/player for entire winter season.

Scottish Country Dancingy
Description: In this class you will work on traditional Scottish country dance steps and figures as well as cooperative teamwork while learning new and old Scottish country dances as we gradually put all the components together. This class is geared for boys and girls ages 5 years and upward. Cheryl Durnin is the teacher of this class and has many years of experience teaching adult and children classes. She obtained her teaching certificate in 1989 and has taught Scottish Country Dancing for many years, as well as Ladies Step Dancing and Scottish Old time dancing. New session begins January 15th, 2012

Mini Indoor Soccer
Description: For children aged 7-9 years. Participants will learn the rules of soccer, practice passing, shooting, throw ins, corner kicks, goal kicks, and run a number of challenging drills. Each class will consist of a 15 minute warm up, 45 minute practice followed by a 30 minute game. Only 14 spaces available.

Parent and Tot
Description: Cooperative, drop in program where parents can enjoy a coffee and conversation while watching their children interact with new friends in a large, bright room full of toys, puzzles, and books. No registration required.

Cost: $2 per family per visit ($3 without booster card)

Tiny Tots
Description: (Age 3 & 4) Super pre-kindergarten program. A warm friendly atmosphere provides the ideal environment for social interaction. Free play, circle time, calendar, activity centres, craft, sharing, snack & more take place daily.
